About our Instructor

Elizabeth (Liz) Johnston began dancing at the age of 5yrs. old under the direction of the late Mary Isdale MacNab. 

As a senior student of Mary Isdale, Liz was fortunate to be invited to become one of the dancers in the Highland Lassies Dance Team, and travelled across Canada and the United States with the Royal Marines Tattoo.

In addition to teaching dance, Liz has organized many workshops and competitions. She is a member of the SOBHD Worldwide Judges Panel, member of BATD, member of Scotdance BC, member of Scotdance Canada, Life Member of BCHDA, and is a member of the BCHDA Technical Committee. Liz has had the opportunity to teach at workshops, and judge at various events throughout Canada, the United States and Scotland.
